Who are we?

“We’re a positive and celebratory collective that aims to champion bloggers of all ages and interests. Together we aim to challenge perceptions, provide a focal point for those wishing to connect with likeminded individuals, showcase great content and drive conversation. We aim to work with brands that seek to collaborate with men and women of a relevant demographic, bringing opportunities to those within our network that will benefit them in both the short and long term. THIRTY PLUS aims to provide democratic platforms for its members to engage on, as well as working with external bodies to drive change and celebrate success in whichever way it’s measured.”

Beauty, fashion, food, fitness, wellbeing and travel isn’t the monopoly of the young. We don’t just disappear when we hit the big three-zero, so it’s about time women (and men) were celebrated in the way we deserve to be – every year of our lives. Just because our interests change and our needs evolve, it doesn’t mean that we lose our passion points or forget who we are. THIRTY PLUS is a positive and celebratory collective for men and women who are, quite simply, awesome.

There’s huge under-representation in the bloggersphere of those over the age of thirty. THIRTY PLUS is a positive movement that aims to not only celebrate the talented men and women in their 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond by showcasing their content and allowing them to connect, but to provide inspiration for those looking for five minutes out from their day.

THIRTY PLUS is the brainchild of 30-something Hayley Carr, aka London Beauty Queen, who has been blogging since 2010. THIRTY PLUS launched in 2015 because she felt the bloggersphere hadn’t really moved on from celebrating young girls talking about lipgloss in their fairylight-lit bedrooms, so she set about making a difference. Since the launch of this collective, the response has been overwhelmingly positive; hundreds of bloggers have come together to connect and be part of something new, and we hope you’ll join us on our journey.

This isn’t about being exclusive; it’s about being inclusive. Of course any blogger of any age is welcome to join us (we believe THIRTY PLUS is a mindset, not a number!) but the focus is on representing categories that have mostly been unrecognised until now. We provide social media accounts to showcase your content, a forum where you can chat, meet-ups and events, a regular newsletter, fortnightly Twitter chats and so much more.

It’s time to make an industry-wide change. It’s time to celebrate our diversity.
